Introducing Our New Nano Brewing System
At Cold Water Brewery, we're always looking for ways to bring fresh ideas, new beers, and more creativity to our tap list. That's why we're excited to share the newest addition to our brewery: a brand-new nano brewing system.
While our main brewhouse continues to produce the beers many of our guests know and love, the nano system gives us the flexibility to experiment, collaborate, and brew small-batch beers that may not have been possible before.
For beer lovers, that means more variety, more seasonal releases, and more opportunities to try something new every time you visit.
why a nano system?
One of the best parts of craft brewing is innovation. The nano system allows our brewing team to test new recipes, explore unique ingredients, and create limited-release beers without committing to a full production batch.
It's also the perfect platform for collaboration beers, specialty releases, and community partnerships throughout the year.
Whether we're brewing a classic style or experimenting with something completely new, the nano system gives us room to play while continuing to focus on quality and consistency.
the first beer: a classic hefeweizen
It felt only right to christen the new system with a beer that's approachable, refreshing, and perfect for summer in Tahoe.
The first beer brewed on our nano system is a traditional Hefeweizen, a classic German wheat beer known for its smooth body, soft mouthfeel, and signature yeast character.
Expect subtle notes of ripe banana, hints of clove, and a refreshing finish that makes this style a favorite for warm-weather drinking. Unfiltered and naturally hazy, it's a beer that's easy to enjoy whether you're a longtime craft beer enthusiast or just discovering wheat beers for the first time.
It's the kind of beer that pairs perfectly with a sunny afternoon on the patio, good company, and everything that makes summer in South Lake Tahoe special.
more small-batch beers to come
The Hefeweizen is just the beginning.
Our new nano brewing system will allow us to release more small-batch beers, seasonal offerings, experimental recipes, and brewery collaborations throughout the year. Some batches may only be available for a short time, so there will always be something new to discover on tap.
We're especially excited about upcoming collaboration brews, community partnerships, and creative beer styles that showcase what makes craft brewing so much fun.
