Locals Summer in South Lake Tahoe; Fall at Cold Water Brewery

Labor Day may mark the unofficial end of summer, but anyone who lives in Tahoe knows September is one of the best times of year to be here.

The crowds start to thin, the days are still warm, the evenings get a little cooler, and suddenly there’s room to slow down and enjoy South Lake Tahoe again. Around here, we like to call it locals’ summer.

And at Cold Water Brewery & Grill, we’re settling into the season right along with you.

FALL DAYS, COLD BEER & FULL SERVICE KITCHEN

September in South Lake Tahoe can still feel a lot like summer. Sunny afternoons, patio weather and a cold beer after the beach, a hike or a day out on the lake are definitely still on the table.

As the season shifts, we’re moving into our fall hours:

Wednesday–Thursday: 2 PM–8:30 PM
Friday–Saturday: 11 AM–9:30 PM
Sunday: 11 AM–8:30 PM
Monday–Tuesday: Closed

Whether you’re looking for a South Lake Tahoe brewery, a casual spot for dinner, or somewhere to grab an award-winning beer and a full meal, we’ll be here Wednesday through Sunday.

THERE’S STILL PLENTY BREWING

Fall may be a little quieter in Tahoe, but the brewery definitely isn’t.

Our taps continue to rotate with Cold Water favorites, seasonal releases and small-batch beers brewed right here in South Lake Tahoe. It’s one of our favorite times of year to stop in because there’s usually something new pouring alongside the staples you already know.

And if you missed some of the fun during the busy summer months, locals’ summer is the perfect time to catch up.

THE BEST PART OF LOCALS’ SUMMER? A LITTLE MORE BREATHING ROOM.

We love Tahoe summers, but September brings a different energy.

Parking gets easier. Trails get quieter. You might actually find a spot at the bar. And instead of racing from one summer activity to the next, there’s a little more time to sit down, order another pint and stay awhile.

Our dog-friendly patio is still open whenever Tahoe weather cooperates, and inside you’ll find the same full-service restaurant, brewery and neighborhood atmosphere year-round.

HAPPY HOUR IS STILL HERE

Locals’ summer deserves locals’ happy hour.

Join us at the bar for Happy Hour Wednesday through Saturday from 2–5 PM, with $5 Cold Water pints, $9 wines and 20% off appetizers.

On Sundays, we keep it going with all-day Happy Hour at the bar from 11 AM–8 PM.

It’s an easy excuse to meet up after work, grab a beer after an afternoon outside or enjoy a quieter Sunday in South Lake Tahoe.
